At its own pace, electric vehicles have stabilized and secured a top-notch position in the automobile market. Among umpteen ev 2 wheelers & 4 wheelers,  we encounter in our commutation, there are so many misconceptions going behind it. Here we are bursting some of the common myths circulating about EV

  1. Myth - Insufficient EV charging stations

    Fact - India is already a home for 934 EV charging stations. Convergence Energy Service Ltd, which provides the electric vehicle to Government sectors, is likely to set up 810 EV charging stations along the number of national highways & expressways covering 10,275 km across India in upcoming months. As per the Ministry of Power, one charging station will be installed every 25km on both sides of highways & cities.

  2. Myth - EV requires high maintenance

    Fact - Ev has very few parts. However, like oil changing, tyre inflation and brake dusting are all required to maintain EV. And it doesn't require the same level of maintenance as traditional cars. The battery, motor, and other electronics need lower maintenance to no maintenance at all.

  3. Myth - The capacity of India’s power grid is not suitable for EV.

    Fact - India is reserved to have 175 GW of Renewable Energy (RE) capability by 2022 and up to 450 GW by 2030. At present, the weighted average emission factor of the country for the national grid has been almost stable. However, it was 0.82 tCO2 / MWh over the past few years. When the share of renewables increases, the dependency on coal decreases, and the emission from EVs will also decrease further.

  4. Myth Range anxiety for Electric Vehicles

    Fact - It is normal for drivers to be worried about being left in the middle of nowhere with a flat battery and miles away from the EV charging station. Since EVs are becoming common, the range tends to increase. The electric vehicles at present can effortlessly fit in the average daily mileage of Indian drivers.
